Artists in Residence: The Hartford Dance Collective | Movement Workshops

The NBMAA is excited to partner with The Hartford Dance Collective for a very special Artist in Residence Program inspired by the exhibition "Modern Women: Visionary Artists" and sponsored by the Art Bridges Foundation.

Every Saturday morning from January through May, a choreographer from The Collective will lead a free movement workshop from 10:30-11:30 a.m. All classes are welcome to adult movers only. (Ages 16+) Dress comfortably to freely move around. Be sure and register in advance online—these workshops fill up quickly!

Every month will feature a different choreographer who will also perform a short original solo dance piece inspired by one of the works in the Modern Women exhibition. This partnership will culminate in a group dance performance by all of the choreographers on Thursday, June 5, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 7, at 2 p.m.
